Snow games
Deutsche Radio Philharmonie conducted by Ivo Hentschel - SR Sendesaal

Program Info:
German Radio Philharmonic
Ivo Hentschel, conductor
boy soprano
Ingrid Hausl, concept and moderation

As soft as it sounds when the snowflakes fall from the sky, it sounds as tender and playful when the German Radio Philharmonic captures the winter magic in music. Together with the audience, the orchestra discovers snow games in works by Joaquin Rodrigo, Claude Debussy and Alexander Glasunow before embarking on an adventurous journey with the children's classic “The Snowman” and the music by Howard Blake. Snowflakes float from the sky. They swirl and dance, and soon the world is bathed in a beautiful white. It is not just on the trees and on the lakes that it glitters and shines. The children's eyes also shine brightly, because snow time is play time: sledding, ice skating, snowball fights, sucking icicles and much more. And from day to day, snow angels and igloos are joined by numerous new friends - the snowmen!

Recommended for ages 6 and up!
