Michel Legrand would be 90 years old. He alone could sum up film music as it flourished at the end of the 20th century, as the last of these three concerts reminds us. After having composed for Losey, Godard and many others, Michel Legrand invents with Jacques Demy what the latter will call the enchanted cinema. The Umbrellas of Cherbourg, Les Demoiselles de Rochefort, Peau d'âne are the main milestones of a fruitful collaboration which brought to the screen a new form and an original style. Pianist and singer, author of dozens of scores for cinema, two operas, two concertos recorded by the Philharmonic Orchestra of Radio France, Michel Legrand died after having sown the most beautiful music on the most beautiful images.

Un homme est mort ; Jerk Les Avignons/On the road (extrait de La Dame dans l’auto avec des lunettes et un fusil) ; The Hunter ; Le Messager ; La Valse des lilas ; La Chanson de Delphine (extrait des Demoiselles de Rochefort) ; Gossiping - Nursery rhymes for all god's children (extraits de l’album de Stan Getz “Communications 72”) ; The Race First Lap (extrait de Le Mans) ; Cash and Carry - His Eyes Her Eyes - The Boston ; Wrangler (extraits de L’Affaire Thomas Crown) ; Brian's Song
