DSQ + BVSO
Dallas String Quartet & Brazos Valley Symphony Orchestra conducted by Marcelo Bussik - Brazos County Expo
Program Info: The BVSO takes on a study in contrasts as this concert begins with the intellectual and interpretive Création du Monde from Milhaud and flips the switch to a fun “diversion” with Ibert’s Divertissement. After intermission, the Dallas String Quartet joins the BVSO on stage and turns the wheel from Piazzolla to Paganini and then goes off the rails with classical/pop mash-ups of Gloria Gaynor’s “I Will Survive” and Led Zeppelin’s legendary “Kashmir” for some high-energy, amped-up entertainment. The Dallas String Quartet is an international music sensation presenting a fusion of classical and contemporary music on both traditional and electric strings. In addition to performing internationally, DSQ has played stateside for former Presidents, the College Football Playoff, and professional sports organizations. DSQ has sold out concert venues like the House of Blues and symphony halls alike. They have played alongside Josh Groban, Chicago, and the Trans-Siberian Orchestra and now with the Brazos Valley Symphony Orchestra for what is sure to be an unforgettable evening!
