"In the Foreign - Between Peer Gynt and ET"
Orchestra - Musiktheater im Revier (MIC), Kleines Haus

Program Info:
Come on, we're going to another country! ... but sometimes travel is not entirely voluntary, for example when there is war and families have to flee. Maybe you also know children who have had this happen? Or did you come to Germany from another country? All of this can also be found in music, because hundreds of years ago people had to leave their homes and find their way in other cultures. And now it is the topic of the children's concert "In the Foreign". On the way we meet the Norwegian Peer Gynt from Edvard Grieg, a lot of trolls and also John Williams' ET, that strange looking alien with so human homesickness. How do strange worlds sound musical? And what does homesickness sound like - played by an orchestra? A highly topical, educational concert!
