3e édition Festival Ciné-Notes: From Paris to Hollywood
Orchestre National Bordeaux Aquitaine conducted by Alexandre Desplat - Opéra National de Bordeaux
Program Info: Guest of honour Alexandre Desplat
French cinema music is in the spotlight for this 3 rd edition of the Ciné-Notes festival with a focus on composers who have also gone to Hollywood for a career. Between great classics and world premieres in concert, come and find the music for your favourite films.
This is the case of the festival's guest of honour, the composer of the 3 Césars and the 2 Oscars, Alexandre Desplat, who will conduct ONBA in his own music.
Before him, Georges Delerue, Michel Legrand and even Paul Misraki had this double career from Paris to Hollywood and will be celebrated by Ciné-Notes.
Bertrand Tavernier will offer a journey through the music of French cinema with ONBA under the direction of Bruno Fontaine. The National Orchestra of Auvergne, of which this will be the first invitation to Bordeaux will continue in this same repertoire around a double program directed by Roberto Forés Veses and Solrey.
The traditional cine-concert will be family-run with the César award for best animated film 2013: Ernest and Célestine to music by Vincent Courtois.
On the jazz / pop side, Fred Pallem and his " Sacre du Tympan " will pay tribute to François de Roubaix (composer among others of the Old Gun and Last Known Home ...) at the Rocher de Palmer.
Jean-Michel Bernard will take us on the tracks of the most beautiful soundtracks of films of French cinema while the Jean-Marc Montaut Quartet will endeavor to make hear those of Michel Legrand.
In addition, there are many other events: film screenings, music conferences with our loyal partners, the UGC and the Mollat bookstore.
