And yet it is often the composers in particular who help a film become immortal - with brilliant melodic ideas and an unmistakable feeling for emotion and drama. John Williams and Hans Zimmer are the two great sound wizards of our day, who gave generations of cinema fans goosebumps and feelings of happiness and whose melodies everyone knows.
