But everyone who’s heard it agrees that there’s nothing in all music to match the sheer verve of Schubert’s mighty final symphony. The charismatic Kevin John Edusei takes it for a Viennese whirl tonight, and for his first time in Liverpool, he’s found two more Austrian classics to set the mood: Webern’s Passacaglia, and returning to play Korngold’s sumptuous Violin Concerto, the amazing Simone Lamsma.
