Piazzolla, Libertango
Orchestre Philharmonic Royal de Liège conducted by Clark Rundell - Salle Philharmonique
Program Info: Orchestre Philharmonic de Liège Clark Rundell, conductor Manu Comté, bandoneon Rafael Aguirre, guitar
Head for the outskirts of Buenos Aires with Astor Piazzolla, a genius creator who breathed new life into Argentine tango with "tango nuevo". Melancholic melodies, bewitching and lascivious rhythms innervate these famous works ( Libertango, Oblivion ) or less known as the Concerto for bandoneon and guitar , created in Liège in 1985 by the OPRL in the presence of the composer. Alongside the OPRL, the dance will underline all the sensuality and bewitching beauty of tango.
Repertoire: - Double concerto for bandoneon, guitar and string orchestra "Hommage à Liège" - Oblivion, composed in 1984 for the movie Henry IV (Enrico IV) by the Italian director Marco Bellocchio - Libertango And other works
