Family concert: The Jungle Book - for young and old from 4-99 years
Neue Philharmonie Westfalen conducted by Pontus Schirmer - Aula am Berliner Ring

This concert has been canceled.

Program Info:
Who doesn't know the story of the human boy Mowgli, who grows up in the jungle, is raised by a she-wolf and who is absorbed into the community of the jungle through the advocacy of the bear Baloo? Rudyard Kipling's "The Jungle Book" tells of adventures, friendships ... and the question of where you are at home. Already in 1942 - long before the Disney film - "The Jungle Book" was made into a film and accompanied by music from Miklós Rózsa. In the family concert, Rózsa's music is a wonderful way to turn on the "head cinema" - the concert hall becomes a jungle: the instruments transform into animals and suddenly you hear the thunderous voice of the elephants or the flight from the tiger. The Neue Philharmonie Westfalen leads its audience into exotic soundscapes and thus brings history to life.

Miklós Rózsa - Suite from "The Jungle Book"
