Program Info: The Music of Hans Zimmer & Others - A Celebration of Filmmusic, will host some of the most beloved classics of film music performed by the State Academic Symphony Orchestra of the Republic of Belarus Symphony Orchestra.
The concert's selection of songs mainly consists of countless Oscar-winning compositions for two Golden Globes and four Grammy-winning compositions by Hans Zimmer . Zimmer's repertoire of his own Hartwall Arena concert in 2017 will feature songs from among others. from The Lion King, Pirates of the Caribbean, Gladiator, Dark Knight, The Da Vinci Code, and Interstellar. In addition to music, the concerts also feature interesting background stories about the films that Zimmer has been making music with. Among other things, Hans Zimmer has completely redefined the Gladiators movie with Ridley Scott and smuggled anti-apartheid message into a foreign language lyrics to a song in Lion King, claiming that the Disney company was texting butterflies.
In addition to Zimmer's film music classics , the concert also includes compositions by Ennio Morricone and Klaus Bladelt . The conductor of the two-hour concert is Yuri Karavaev and the soloist is the German soprano Johanna Krum. Yuri Karavaev also acts as a conductor at the traditional Russian Symphony Orchestra, The Belarusian State Academic, which collaborates with The Hollywood Symphonic Orchestra in Europe.
