Program Info: The Metropole Orchestra will collaborate with Norwegian singer-songwriter Thomas Dybdahl to take his timeless songs to new heights. The music of Dybdahl can best be described as a distinctive mix of pop, folk and jazz. His soulful voice and his songwriting have made him a "musician's musician" with a growing worldwide fan base.
As a composer of film music, Dybdahl has a weakness for orchestral music. And although his approach is more acoustic, the lush instrumentation lends itself perfectly to orchestral remakes. The set list will be a selection of older songs and brand new music from his upcoming album "FEVER", which will be released on March 13, 2020. The first singles "45" and "Call Me By Your Name" are already out.
