Program Info: Howard Shore - The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers
The adventure continues with the second installment of Peter Jackson's epic trilogy. Rediscover Middle-earth during the exceptional cine-concert "The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers". With more than 250 musicians & singers on stage, the Yellow Socks Orchestra will perform the famous Howard Shore soundtrack in perfect sync with the screening of the film.
As in the first movie, Doug Adam, author of The Music of the Lord of the Rings Films and advisor to this In Concert, points out that in the cine concert experience, live music carries its own narrative weight, creating an exciting and The dramatic drama that offers Frodo Baggins' journey and the Society of the Ring an impressive wealth of detail, bringing JRR Tolkien's rich imaginative literature to life in a way never seen before.
“The Lord of the Rings is a story of universal themes and human experiences, including perseverance, sacrifice, friendship, and loyalty. These form the backbone of J.R.R. Tolkien's works, Peter Jackson's films and of course the Howard Shore soundtrack, ”says Adam.
Shore's music expresses Peter Jackson's film in a unique way with immense and rich symphonic work, uniquely developed, bringing together several centuries of trends and styles that give each of Tolkien's stories a unique musical impression. “There is nothing that compares to this. This is an extraordinary and moving experience. And it's your chance to become part of the Society, "says Adam.
Since 2009, when more than 10,000 people gathered at Radio City Music Hall in New York for the premiere of the first film, the cine concert has been presented in various cities around the world. And, with the partnership of Ingresso Fast, São Paulo is part of this global roaming.
In the presentation of the second film, the production will offer the audience a full view of the orchestra from anywhere in the gym, as well as practically doubling the screen size and practising a pricing policy in which the average ticket will be almost 20% smaller.
"Even though it's a kind of experience that goes back to the early days of cinema, where orchestras played the live movie live, it's interesting to note how in our cine concert era it's still a new experience for most audiences," says Leo Rea Lé, executive producer of the show.
"The cine concert of the Lord of the Rings trilogy is the largest and most diverse cine concert of its kind. There are 150 people in the choir (50 children and 100 adults, men and women) and 100 musicians involved. It is an event of intense appeal. sensory and sentimental, where the audience gets involved with the music and the story. As a producer, it is rewarding to be able to offer an experience of this magnitude and observe the magnetic involvement of the audience completely immersed in the music and the screen, ”concludes Rea Lé.
