The Da Vinci Code in Concert (World Premiere)
21st Century Orchestra & Chorus conducted by Ludwig Wicki - KKL
This concert has been postponed.
Program Info: Hans Zimmer & Richard Harvey - The Da Vinci Code
World premiere at KKL Lucerne
After more than a hundred million copies of the world bestseller "Sacrilege" by Dan Brown, in 2006 the film adaptation of the book entitled "The Da Vinci Code - Sacrilege" was released, the second most successful theatrical release in film history. The Mistery thriller with Tom Hanks and Amelie star Audrey Toutou in the lead roles combines an atmospherically dense narrative with lovely details and a great performance. Last but not least, the success was also due to the music of composer Hans Zimmer, with whom he contributed decisively to the effect of the film: With the help of Richard Harvey - who composed the music for "Luther" - Zimmer expanded his distinctive sound language with sacral choral singing and created such an effective as exciting soundtrack. In April 2020, the film celebrates its world premiere in the concert hall: While the blockbuster is being shown in full length, the 21st Century Orchestra & Chorus, under the baton of Ludwig Wicki, will be bringing highly acclaimed film music specialists to the original soundtrack. In an unforgettable live experience, the music sounds perfectly synchronized with what's happening on the screen.
