Eastwood by Eastwood
Kyle Eastwood & Band - Le Duc des Lombards
Program Info: Kyle Eastwood – Double bass & bass Andrew McCormack – Piano Chris Higginbottom – Batterie Quentin Collins – Trompette & bugle Brandon Allen – Saxophones
Although Kyle Eastwood made some appearances on screen when he was younger, he decided to dedicate himself to jazz when he became a teenager. While composing several scores for his father Clint Eastwood (Mystic River, Million Dollar Baby and Letters From Iwo Jima), he confirmed his career as a musician over the years. So far, he has a dozen albums under his belt as a leader. As a double bassist and bassist, he has remained faithful to a traditional, melodic approach to jazz, which he often enriches with lyrical flourishes. "Cinema is my second passion," he confesses. So it seemed natural that his quintet would now devote itself to film soundtracks.
On this occasion, Kyle Eastwood comes to Palencia to present his new project Eastwood by Eastwood, based on the same repertoire of music from Clint's films, but performed as a quintet. “The Eiger Sanction” composed by John Williams for Clint Eastwood, “Ruthless” and “On the Road to Madison” composed by Lennie Niehaus, “Gran Torino” and “Letter from Iwo Jima” composed by Kyle Eastwood and Michael Stevens, “Dirty Harry” and “Magnum Force” composed by Lalo Schiffrin, “Memoirs of Our Fathers” composed by Clint Eastwood and arranged by Kyle Eastwood, “The Good, the Bad and the Ugly” and “A Fistful of Dollars” composed by Ennio Morricone will be some of the songs that he will perform with his quintet.
